Find your family

Would you like to find out more about your family? Or perhaps find your missing family members? We have a wealth of resources for you to use and stories for you to explore. Many of our resources are held offline for copyright and privacy reasons, so we encourage you to become a member and contact us. But you can get started with these steps.

  • Search the list of names of descendants of Emanuel Hungerford and associated . This will give you the HAFS code for a branch of the family tree, so you can read the information we have online for the first two generations of Australian family
  • Search the whole website. You might find a journal article or list which mentions your ancestor.
  • Search specific lists for your ancestor. We have transcripts, shipping registers, military awards etc. If we have records for your family, then contact us for assistance.
  • We don’t have published family trees yet, but many family members have created trees online at Ancestry.com and other sites. Some of the work has already be done for you.
  • Create your own family tree with one of the large sites – Ancestry or MyHeritage. They have many public records and will provide hints.
  • Consider doing a DNA test to look for confirmation of your tree or to find missing members.

Search with a surname
