We welcome you to become a member of the Hungerford & Associated Families Society Inc – whether you are a Hungerford descendant or someone with an interest in our Hungerford history.

Your membership includes any partner or dependent children living in your household, and we enjoy meeting all the family at our annual meetings (Covid restrictions allowing).

For just $30 a year, you will receive or latest journals and newsletters by email to read at your leisure. For $60 a year, you receive the journals and newsletters printed in colour.

If you are actively researching your family history, you can save time and money with our huge collection of transcripts and historical photos collected over many years. If you’re analysing your DNA matches, you’ll find our detailed lists useful for placing people in your family tree.

If you enjoy connecting with cousins or working on projects at home, you volunteer to transcribe letters or wills, or help digitise our old journals.

Whatever your interest is, become a member today and help continue our heritage for generations to come.

Terms and Conditions:

Members are expected to abide by our Constitution and observe the Terms of Use for our website and materials. Please take a few minutes to familiarise yourself with these.

Online and Print:

Newsletters and journals are sent by email with the basic membership. Journals will also be available on our website for members when logged in. We’re going digital generally, but most of our members still like to have their journals and newsletters in print. You can change your choice online at any time in the future.


Subscriptions are for 12 months, renewing in September. If you join mid-year, we’ll send you journals or newsletters from earlier in the year. You can pay online with a credit or debit card, or Paypal account.

Application process:

To apply for membership, just press one of the Sign Up buttons. We will then ask you for basic details and a contact email address. Our membership manager will then process your application, and approve your online access to member areas within 24 hours usually.  An email will be sent to advise you that the process is complete.
